How to Request Account Deletion
To request the deletion of your Wamafy account and all associated data, please send an email to our support team with the following details:

Include the following in your email:
- Subject line: Account Deletion Request
- Your registered email address
- Your Wamafy account name (workspace identifier)
- Your full name as registered on the platform
- Reason for deletion (optional — helps us improve the product)
What Data Will Be Deleted
Upon processing your deletion request, the following data associated with your account will be permanently deleted:
- Your user profile, account credentials, and refresh tokens
- Personal information (name, email address, account name, profile photo)
- Your contact list (leads), including phone numbers, names, emails, tags, addresses, websites, notes, and message history
- Your message templates cached from Meta and any drafts not yet submitted
- Your campaigns, including audience snapshots, per-recipient message rows, and delivery receipts
- Stored Meta credentials (Access Token, App Secret, Phone Number ID, Business Account ID) — these are encrypted at rest and securely wiped
- Audit logs tied to your account
What is NOT Deleted
- Messages already delivered to your recipients' WhatsApp inboxes — these are controlled by Meta and the recipient's WhatsApp client, not by Wamafy.
- Your Meta WhatsApp Business Account, templates, or message history on Meta's side — to delete those, manage them directly in Meta Business Manager.
Data Retention
Certain data may be retained for a limited period as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, including:
- Financial transaction records and invoices (as required by tax and accounting regulations).
- Audit logs for security and compliance purposes.
- Any data required to be retained under applicable Indian laws.
Retained data will be anonymized where possible and will not be used for any purpose other than legal compliance.
Processing Time
We will acknowledge your deletion request within 48 hours and process the deletion within 30 days of receiving a valid request. You will receive a confirmation email once your account and data have been deleted.
Important Notes
- Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once processed, your data cannot be recovered.
- Any active subscriptions should be cancelled before requesting deletion to avoid further charges.
- Before deleting, we recommend exporting your contact list and any templates / campaign data you may want to retain.
- Disconnecting your Meta WhatsApp Business Account from Wamafy (via the Settings page) does not delete your account on its own — it only removes the stored Meta credentials from our database.
